Specimen weight: 1.361 kg (3 lbs)
Record: 4 lbs 14.5 ozs, Kenmare Bay, 1981

Three dorsal, two anal fins. Upper jaw the longer; no barbel. Tail-fin not forked. Lateral line a narrow, brown seam. Pinkish brown above, silvery on the sides. Grows to about 6 lb.
